The 1982 Icon Finally Hits the Board

The legendary Air Force 1 is officially joining the Nike SB lineup. This is a full rebuild of the cult classic to handle heavy street sessions. By mixing that Uptown look with the SB treatment, Nike has dropped a new "grail" that mixes 80s hoops style with today’s tech. It looks sharp, feels solid, and proves that even an icon can learn to rip.

A Sole Built for Boardfeel

To turn this basketball staple into a legit skate tool, the designers had to rework the bottom. They thinned out the midsole so your foot sits much closer to the board, which makes a huge difference for your feel and control. The Air unit is still tucked in the heel to save your ankles on big drops, but the tread now uses a modified herringbone pattern. It grips right away and gives you a ton of flex exactly where you need it to bend the shoe.

From the Streets of NYC to our Shop

This project was backed by the Nike SB pro team after tons of testing, and the launch campaign shot in New York City by Jonathan Mannion confirms it’s the real deal. With heavy hitters like Antonio Durao and Poe Pinson in the mix, you can tell these are built for the terrain. The first "Light Orewood Brown" colorway hits the shop on April 17th in limited quantity. Get ready ; with more colors coming this year, the SB Air Force 1 is waiting for you at Palm Isle skateshop.
